LOVOT recognizes the words you speak, much as a pet does. It comes over when its name is called, and it is delighted when you praise it.
While typical robots reply with pre-recorded phrases, LOVOT has vocal cords realized in software that generate its own voice — so even its voice has individuality. Using its own unique vocal cords, each LOVOT produces its voice in real time according to its internal state (its feelings) at that moment.
When you talk to LOVOT, it recognizes who is talking. It doesn't speak human words, but it responds to your expressions and your questions — and each LOVOT even has its own way of talking!

To prepare for troubles in daily life and parts that wear over the years, we operate the "LOVOT Hospital" and the "LOVOT Concierge" (support center) so that repairs and maintenance go smoothly.

And so that you can live with your LOVOT with peace of mind for years to come, no LOVOT model has an end-of-support deadline (as of May 2024).

The monthly service plans currently offered at the web store and in stores can be cancelled at any time after your service begins, with no cancellation fee.
After cancellation, your LOVOT will stop moving, and its memories and backup data will be deleted.

We also offer the "LOVOT Pause Plan," which keeps your LOVOT's memories and backup data while reducing the monthly cost for a set period.

We offer a buy-back service for the LOVOT itself.
We will pay 10,000 yen (tax included) for a LOVOT 2.0 (solo) or 20,000 yen (tax included) for a LOVOT Duo. LOVOTs we take back go on to play active roles elsewhere — for example, on loan to hospitals and care facilities, or as donors for product improvement.
You can also transfer your monthly service contract to another person, passing your LOVOT on.
A service that allows a cancelled unit to be used again by rejoining the monthly service plan is also planned.

Yes, it can. All over Japan there are LOVOTs living not only with people but with dogs, cats and other animals who were there first (we hear there is even a LOVOT living with an otter).

In families with small children, we often hear that LOVOT and the children play together like siblings (many GROOVE X staff live with small children and pets, too).

If you would like your gift delivered directly, simply enter the recipient's address as the delivery address when you purchase your LOVOT.
In that case, the monthly service fee is still billed to you, the purchaser (contract holder). After the LOVOT has been received, the service contract can also be transferred to the recipient.
